Wexford Civil Defence Search Activity – November 2012
Wexford Civil Defence assisted in a two-day search (10th – 11th November) for a man who has been missing since 27th October.
There were 38 Civil Defence Volunteers on duty over the course of the two days. Searching commenced at 10am and finished at 2 pm each day. A total area of 42km of coastline was searched on both days of searching. Civil Defence used two Minibuses, one Communications vehicle and one 4X4 Vehicle during the search operation. New GPS Radios were used which allowed for search teams to be directed from the communications vehicle.
Other agencies involved were An Garda Síochána, Curracloe Coast Guard, Slaney Search & Rescue and RNLI Wexford Inshore.
The body has not been recovered to date
