Regional Exercises 2012 – Wexford, 7th October 2012

Wexford Civil Defence hosted the fifth of the 2012 Regional Exercises on Sunday 7th October in the environs of St Senan’s Hospital, Enniscorthy. The exercise incorporated five competitive sites comprising:

· Pump-Drill at Edermine Bridge on the banks of the Slaney River
· Casualty/Rescue at St Senan’s Hospital Wards
· Communications St Senan’s Hospital Grounds
· Skills Challenge St Senan’s Hospital Wards
· Team Challenge St Senan’s Hospital

Waterford City, Waterford County, Carlow, Cork West and Kilkenny units competed. At the end of an Exercise which tested and showcased the capabilities and skills of the competitors the Cork West team emerged victorious. Presentations were made to the winning team at a Presentation Dinner in the Riverside Hotel, Enniscorthy.
