Congratulations to all who graduated today at the Civil Defence College for the following courses:

Voluntary Sector Training Skills – QQI Level 6
A train the trainer programme which prepares learners to implement student centred teaching practices in a variety of traditional and non tradition environments. It exposes the learners to teaching methodologies and learning models with a central theme of learners been central to the process at all stages.

Instructing Manual Handling – QQI Level 6
A train the trainer programme which prepares learners to implement best practice in Risk Assessment and Skills based training.

Instructing People Handling – QQI Level 6
A train the trainer programme which builds on the Manual Handing course; preparing learners to handling vulnerable people in a safe and sensitive manner.

Swiftwater & Flood First Responder – Rescue 3 Europe
This programme equips learners with the skills to train responders to operate in flood and swiftwater environments. There is a particular emphasis on self rescue in the event a responder gets into difficulty.
