Ring of Beara Cycle

On the weekend of 3rd- 4th June 2017 , Civil Defence crews provided medical cover for the Ring of Beara Cycle. A number of patients were treated throughout the day. Civil Defence units from Kerry, Cork North and Cork West provided 4 ambulances, a response jeep and utilised the Interagency Control Unit to coordinate the deployment of ambulances during the event. Two teams of mobile First-Aiders were on duty in Kenmare Town. Civil Defence provided TETRA communications link to all Medical Resources and utilised CAD software at the Control Unit.
