Missing Person Search – Tipperary

Volunteers were deployed early on Sunday morning the 18th March 2018 to Carrick-on-Suir for a missing person search operation. With Land search teams from Tipperary and Waterford Civil Defence, Drone units from Civil Defence HQ, Cork South & West, Dublin and Galway. Tipperary CD Dog unit and Boat unit (with Side Scan Sonar).

Also involved were Gardai, Three dog units from SARDA, Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter- Rescue 117, Nenagh Ormonde Search unit, Waterford Marine SAR & Carrick River Rescue.

The search operation has been stood down following the recovery of body from the river Suir. Our thanks to all that assisted in the search operations over the last eight days.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased.  May they rest in peace.
