1 December 2014
Cork City Civil Defence was on duty at Cork City Hall on Thursday night, 27th November for the ‘MTV Crashes’ concert.
Headline acts Gorgon City and Jessie Ware couldn’t hide how excited they were be in City Hall. And the love was mutual as up to 1,000 fans danced and sang from the moment the North London duo of Gorgon City hit the stage, shortly after 8pm. Cork City Council pulled out all the stops to make the event one to showcase the city as a music destination for MTV’s audience in 160 countries.
Senior events manager with MTV, Ali Thompson, said that the music channel could not have been more happy with how the event went. MTV Crashes Cork will be broadcast across MTV’s flagship UK music TV channels, MTV MUSIC and MTV LIVE HD and subsequently across its European channels, airing on December 12.
