Search Seminar, Civil Defence College, Roscrea

Over 80 of our Civil Defence Search Team Volunteers, attended our day-long search seminar in HQ on Saturday 14^th December.

We want to thank all of our volunteers across the country for their continued dedication throughout the year, often in very difficult conditions.

We also want to thank all of our presenters who gave so willingly of their time on Saturday – Joe Kelly (Tipperary County Coroner), Ruairí O Conchuír (Local Authorities Water Programme), Mary McMahon (Ager Action Roscxrea), Civil Defence Officers and Assistant Civil Defence Officers from Laois, Offaly and Longford, Michael Collins (National Office for Suicide Prevention (HSE))

The training seminar comes just after National Missing Person Day 2024, and is an important event in the continuous training of Civil Defence volunteers who provide support to the Principal Response Agencies and to communities across Ireland.
