25 Civil Defence members and 11 X 4WD Vehicles have been activated to assist in the areas worst affected by ice and snow since Tuesday 29th January.
Donegal
Assisting Ambulance Service with movement of patients in Inishowen area, 29-30 January. Treated and transported gentleman with injured Tibia from Clonmany to Hospital, 30th January. Called out to elderly lady who was suffering abdominal pain, 31st January. Crews on standby for call out in Stranorlar, Glenties and Milford areas.
Sligo
Assisting Public Health Nurses from the North West Hospice with home calls to deliver treatment to cancer patients; on standby for Meals on Wheels deliveries.
Cavan
Transported District Nurse in Dowra-Blacklion area of West Cavan on 29th January; Transporting Home Help in West Cavan; Delivering Meals on Wheels for approximately 4 hours.
Roscommon
Transporting Palliative Care Nurses to patients 29th-30th January. Assisted HSE with 4 call outs to transport Public Health Nurses 31st January.
Leitrim
Transporting District Nurses in Leitrim area.
