Ceremony of Remembrance and Reflection

A Ceremony of Remembrance and Reflection, took place in the grounds of Limerick City and County Council, Merchant’s Quay, Limerick on Sunday 10th April 2022.

This ceremony represented an opportunity to pause and reflect on all those who have been affected by, or lost their lives, during the Covid-19 pandemic.  It also paid tribute to everyone who has contributed to how we faced, and are facing, the challenges together.

As this ceremony paid particular focus on the work carried out by frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Limerick Civil Defence were invited to participate.   Our member Noreen laid flowers by the water fountain as part of the ceremony.

Limerick Civil Defence also provided medical cover for the event.
