Christmas Greetings 2011

The Chairman, Director General and Civil Defence Board members would like to take this opportunity to thank all Civil Defence members and staff of the Board for their magnificent service throughout 2011.

Civil Defence has provided much needed support to communities all over the country throughout the year. The efforts of the organisation in supporting the frontline services during severe weather and at all other times of the year have rightly been recognised in the media, by statutory agencies, by the Government and by the public at large.

During 2012, we look forward to the re-integration of Civil Defence back into the Department of Defence and the opportunities that this will bring to the Civil Defence organisation.

We would like to wish every member of Civil Defence and the staff of the Board a Merry Christmas and look forward to another successful year in 2012.
