Civil Defence Severe Weather Relief Efforts, February 2021

Civil Defence members in 4 units, utilising 4WD Vehicles were activated to assist in the areas worst affected by snowfall over the weekend of 11th February – 13th February.
- Monaghan
Activated 11th February & 13th February – Transporting HSE Care Staff member from Ballybay to Monaghan and return; Assisting St Vincent De Paul with delivery of Meals on wheels in Monaghan Town area.
- Clare
Activated on 11th February – Transporting cancer patient from Ennis to hospital appointment in Limerick and return.
- Cork West
Activated on 11th February – Transporting patients from Bantry, Skibbereen, Dunmanway, Clonakility and Bandon to dialysis appointments; Operating severe weather resilience desk HQ to support the HSE IAEMO South.
- Limerick
Activated 12th February & 13th February – Transporting essential staff to and from work
