Civil Defence Volunteer Supports

In the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic it may be timely to reiterate the various supports in place for our corps of volunteer members.
In that context, attached please find
(i) a copy of the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Policy – please note there are leaflets and contact cards available in each unit and a local support mechanism in each unit the form of a peer representative

(iv) a copy of the Volunteer Representative election process – please note a couple of updates since the publication of the October 2019 document, namely that the IGT has met on eight occasions since 2016 (next meeting scheduled for Thursday 24th September) and the current representative on the IGT is Verona Fitzpatrick following Shane Quinn’s recently acquired new position as ACDO in Meath.
