Killarney National Park Fire

Kerry Civil Defence were activated by Kerry Fire & Rescue Service at midday on Saturday 24th April to mobilise their Small Unmanned Aircraft (Drone) Unit to assist with the monitoring of the fires taking place in the Killarney Park area. Team members travelled to Killarney and provided video footage to the managers overseeing the fire operations. Members remained in the Killarney area for a numbers of hours providing assistance. Immense efforts and interagency cooperation displayed by Kerry Fire & Rescue, Kerry County Council, Irish Air Corps, An Garda Síochána, Kerry Civil Defence and the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
