Limerick County & City Civil Defence – Donation of Toyota Crew Cabs, October 2011

Limerick City Civil Defence and Limerick County Civil Defence recently took delivery of two Toyota Hilux Double Cab vehicles from the proceeds of the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am 2010.

These rugged performance vehicles are most suited to Civil Defence operations and can be used to transport personnel and equipment over difficult terrain and in adverse weather conditions. They can also be used to launch boats involved in search and recovery operations.

Civil Defence found this type of vehicle most useful during the past few winters assisting the local communities by transporting Milford Care staff and Public Health Nurses (HSE) to patients living in inaccessible areas throughout Limerick. 0
