Louth Civil Defence – Search Operation

Louth Civil Defence was contacted by the Gardaí on Friday night 21st Feb to assist with a missing person search in the Dundalk area. Volunteers commenced ground searching on Saturday morning 22nd Feb and utilised their drone to search the mudflats in the area that were inaccessible to boats. This continued until dark. Searching re-commenced on Sunday morning 23rd Feb and the technical section from Civil Defence attended to provide an enhanced drone capability. This continued until the search was stood-down at dusk.
