Fire Awareness Course specific to Mobile Castering Units

Clare Search & Rescue, Mullaghmore

Clare Civil Defence was mobilised on Tuesday night, 21st October to assist in the search for two female hikers on Mullaghmore. The Clare Civil Defence drone team located the missing hikers within 20 minutes of arriving on the search scene and then guided the Fire Service to the location.
Missing Persons Rescue – Slieve Bloom Mountains
22 October 2025
On the weekend of 18-19 October Civil Defence was activated to assist An Garda Síochána with locating two lost hikers on the Slieve Bloom Mountains. 16 volunteers from Laois and Offaly Civil Defence units responded to the call and located the missing walkers utilising the Civil Defence phone tracking system and thermal drones.
