Search Operation – Newport, Co Tipperary

Tipperary Civil Defence was mobilised on Sunday 28th June to assist Newport Gardaí in the search for a missing person. Dublin Civil Defence held a drive-by to help celebrate the 90th Birthday of Tommy Dempsey. Tommy was one of the original members of Civil Defence and was in Sub County 3 Rescue. Tommy joined in 1963 and was part of the Guard of Honour in Dublin Castle when President John F Kennedy visited Ireland.
