Laois Severe Weather Relief Efforts

Road conditions across Laois were very poor on Sunday morning, 10th December following heavy snowfall overnight. Civil Defence volunteers provided transport for hospital staff from the worst affected areas.

Dublin Civil Defence – Homeless Shelter

The Cold Weather Shelter hosted by Dublin Civil Defence at their Headquarters at the Esplanade, Wolfe Tone Quay, will open from Wednesday night, 6th December and will remain open until the end of February 2018. The shelter has facilities for 20 Homeless men each night.
