Missing Person Search Longford

A total of 25 newly trained members of the Longford Search & Rescue Unit responded to a call-out by An Garda Síochána on Thursday 16th April to assist in the search for a missing 19 year-old Polish National in the environs of Longford town. The Control Unit, three 4WD Vehicles and the Leitrim Civil Defence Boat Unit were deployed for the search operation. The body of the missing teenager was found on the outskirts of the town on Thursday evening. The Gardaí were very appreciative of the efforts of Longford Civil Defence.
