Civil Defence is saddened to learn of the recent passing of the former Chairman of the Civil Defence Board, Mr. Joe Meagher of Oola, Co. Limerick. Joe chaired the Board from 2005-2011.

Joe Meagher, Main Street, Oola, Co. Limerick, October 31st 2023, peacefully at home.  Beloved husband of the late Mary and father-in-law of the late Miriam.  Joe will be sadly missed by his loving family, daughter Grainne, sons Ed., Willie and Paul, grandchildren Cormac and Niamh, his sister Teresa and extended family.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h’anam

Reposing at Ryan & White’s Funeral Home, Pallasgreen, on Friday evening November 3rd from 5 pm until 7 pm.  Requiem Mass for Joe will take place in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Oola on Saturday, 4th November, at 11.30 am with burial afterwards in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Oola.
