Regional Exercise Kildare – 1st April 2017

Kildare Civil Defence were delighted and proud to host this regions Civil Defence regional exercise on Saturday 1st April 2017. Among the tasks were: Foot Drill, Casualty/First Aid, Field Search, Communications, Flooding, Drones and other Skills. Participating teams were from counties Dublin, Wicklow, Laois, Meath and Westmeath. Almost 100 volunteers and members of the Civil Defence attended the exercise which was held at our Headquarters at Devoy Park, Naas. The Order of Malta, Casualty Union and Flooding Instructors provided at the exercise. Kildare Civil Defence volunteers worked hard all day to ensure all the teams were looked after.
WINNERS:
The winners of the Foot Drill was Westmeath. The winners of the Regional Exercise was Meath. On behalf of all our officers and volunteers in Kildare, congratulations to the winners and all those who took part today. Thank you to all the instructors and adjudicators who gave their time on Saturday.
