Regional Exercises 2012 – Louth, 29th September 2012

Louth Civil Defence hosted the third of the 2012 Regional Exercises on Saturday 29th September in the environs of Ravensdale Forest. The exercise incorporated six competitive sites comprising:

· Close Order Foot Drill at County Hall
· Casualty Treatment Station
· Casualty/Rescue
· Communications and Open Country Search
· Fire Fighting Equipment Skills
· Team Initiative Test

Monaghan, Wexford, Meath, Cavan and Wicklow units competed. At the end of an Exercise which tested and showcased the capabilities and skills of the competitors the Wexford team emerged victorious. Presentations were made to the winning team at a Presentation Dinner in the Carrickdale Hotel, Ravensdale.
