Rescue of Stranded Motorists – Clonmel

On 18th March Tipperary Civil Defence volunteers rescued a family who were stranded in a vehicle in the Powers the Pot area outside Clonmel due to heavy volumes of snow. Volunteers drove as far as they could before having to abandon their 4WDs. They then proceeded on foot to locate the family.

The family were located and brought to safety by the rescue team shortly before 9pm.
