Sligo Civil Defence – Presentation Night

75 people attended Sligo Civil Defence’s annual presentation night at the Clarion Hotel on Tuesday 21st April. A large number of certificates were presented to the volunteers by Ciaran Hayes and Bartley Gavin of Sligo County Council and also by Aidan Dillon of the Department of Defence, Roscrea.

Special tributes were paid to 14 serving and former members of Sligo Civil Defence who have recently been awarded 30 and 40 year Long Service Medals. Ciaran Hayes, CEO of Sligo County Council, presented a 20 year Long Service Medal to Marion Davis, Civil Defence Officer.
