Sligo Presentation night 2019

Sligo Civil Defence hosted their annual presentation of certificates night and yearly review and plans going forward on April 30th The evening was attended by Bartley Gavin Director of Service for Civil Defence and An Cathaoirleach for Sligo County Council Martin Baker who praised the work that Civil Defence do at emergencies and in giving of their time freely to provide First aid assistance to local community events who say without their help and support would not be in a position to hold many of their small community events and charity events. Their assistance is very much appreciated by the event committees and the people taking part and attending the events.  Both The Director of Service and An Cathaoirleach presented the many certificates on the night when volunteer instructors and volunteers received certification in CFR, FAR, Water responder, Safe food handling, Manual Handling, People handling. A good night was had by all 55 volunteers who attended on the night.
