US President Trump visit to Doonbeg, June 2019

Clare Civil Defence were honoured to be asked to provide substantial resources to assist in the recent US Presidential visit to Clare. Civil Defence units from Limerick, Galway and Tipperary assisted with resources and equipment. The Dublin Civil Defence Hagglund crew also assisted during the course of the visit.

President Trump’s personal physician took time to introduce himself to the Doonbeg medical crew and to learn about Civil Defence.

The dedicated members of Clare Civil Defence commenced duties at 7am on Tuesday morning, 4^th June and provided 24 hour medical cover, shelter for the Garda & Defence Forces, transport and many other requests that were asked of them in both Shannon and Doonbeg until 9pm on Friday evening, 7^th June.

Despite the very long hours the professionalism and dedication made for a brilliant week.
