Wicklow Search Operation

On Wednesday 29th December Wicklow Civil Defence was activated by An Garda Síochána to assist in the search for a male who was missing in the Harbour area at Wicklow Town.

Boat crews from Wicklow assisted the Garda Water Unit and Wicklow RNLI with a harbour and coastal search. Drone units from Laois and Wexford assisted the Gardaí with a land search along the shore and surrounding lands . Irish Coast Guard Helicopter and crews were also involved in the operation. The land search was called off by the Gardaí on Thursday evening 30th December.

The Garda Superintendent and Garda search manager praised and thanked the Civil Defence crews for their prompt response and professionalism.
