JFK 50 Mile Walk, Moylagh

On Saturday 15th June over 40 Meath Civil Defence volunteer members were on duty at the JFK 50 Mile Walk in Moylagh, in support of Cancer Care and Research. Volunteers covered shifts throughout the day with a fleet of ambulances, logistical support vehicles, communications and medical posts.

Hundreds of walkers set off at 6am from Moylagh community centre. It was a personal challenge for all who took part and a personal achievement for each one whatever distance they achieved with many doing the full 50 miles with the last walker finishing at 1.45am on Sunday morning.
