Kerry Civil Defence – Search Operation – March 2013
On the evening of the 8th March 2013 Kerry Civil Defence was contacted by An Garda Síochána to assist in the search for a missing person from the Mallow area.

The Kerry Civil Defence SAR Unit was mobilised on Saturday morning 9th March and reported to the Coastguard Centre at Ballybunion. The search commenced from 9am until approximately 3pm along the shoreline near Ballybunion due to tidal conditions.

The search continued on Sunday 10th March with Kerry Civil Defence SAR Unit assisting the Coastguard. Cork North Civil Defence also joined the search over the two days.

Approximately 20 Civil Defence Volunteers assisted with this ongoing search.
