Kerry Water Outage

Volunteers from Kerry Civil Defence have been assisting the Council in dealing with the water shortage in Listowel. The water shortage was caused by a breakdown in the water pumping system. Volunteers delivered bottled water door to door in Listowel, particularly to the elderly and housebound. 12 volunteers were deployed on Sunday 3rd September in 4 jeeps. A further 10 volunteers are assisting today Monday, 4th September.
