Leinster Fleadh, Longford

30 Longford Civil Defence members provided First Aid Cover and Communications assistance at the recent Leinster Fleadh in Ballymahon from 21st -23rd July. Civil Defence was also very much involved in the pre planning for the event and was instrumental in helping with the drawing up of the emergency plan for the weekend activities.  A crowd of approximately 12,000 attended the three day event and it has been deemed by the organising committee as one of the best to date. Civil Defence was glad to have played a major part in the weekends proceedings.
