Limerick County Civil Defence Flood Relief Efforts – February 2014

Limerick County Civil Defence was activated on Saturday morning 1st February to the St Mary’s Park area of Limerick City.
Seven Volunteer members were deployed tasked with sandbagging homes and evacuating people from flooded homes from 10.30am to 6.30pm. An Inflatable Boat, two Minibuses and one 4WD vehicle were utilised during the course of the operation.
Personnel remain on stand-by for high-tides in the coming days.
