Louth Flood Relief Efforts – 13th – 14th November 2014

15 volunteer members of Louth Civil Defence responded to a call from the local authority on Thursday evening, 13th November. The volunteers filled and supplied sandbags to members of the public until approximately 10.30pm.
Volunteers were again called upon on Friday afternoon, 14th November to assist members of the public and the Fire Service with the removal of furniture and personal belongings from several flooded houses.
Louth volunteers were again called out Sat 15th and Sun 16th to assist with the evacuation of belongings from flooded houses. An inflatable boat was used to access houses on Sunday 16th.
