Louth Search & Recovery Operation, August 2014

On Monday 11th August Louth Civil Defence was activated by local Gardai to assist in the search for a missing local man. 10 Volunteer members participated in the search of derelict and abandoned buildings in the area until dark.

Civil Defence was again on duty on Tuesday 12th August, assigned to coordinate the assistance of members of the public. The search was stood down at 4pm following the discovery and recovery of a body identified as the missing person.
