Missing Person Search – Kerry, July 2014

Kerry Civil Defence was activated by An Garda Síochána to assist in the search for a man reported missing on 28th July. An area of rough terrain which consisted of bog, forest and deep ravines outside of Tralee and Kilduff was searched, supported by the Coastguard helicopter.

SARDA provided 4 search dogs to assist in the search later in the day. 6 Civil Defence members of the Search & Rescue Unit were on duty until the operation was stood down at midnight.

Civil Defence are expected to be called out for the resumption of the search today.
