Regional Exercises 2012 – Westmeath, 22nd September 2012

Westmeath Civil Defence hosted the second of the 2012 Regional Exercises on Saturday 22nd September in the environs of Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar. The exercise incorporated five competitive sites comprising:

· Foot Drill
· Casualty/Rescue
· Casualty/Road Traffic Accident Simulation
· Communications
· Team Task

Offaly, Dublin, Longford, Kildare and Sligo units competed. At the end of an Exercise which tested and showcased the capabilities and skills of the competitors the Longford team emerged victorious. Presentations were made to the winning team at a Presentation Dinner in the Annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar.
