Search Dogs Training – Phoenix Park, 31st October

Civil Defence search dogs had a training day at Phoenix Training Centre on Saturday 31st October.
Pictured from left to right are Patrick Cushen (Kilkenny) with a trainee search dog, Marcel Steenkist (Laois) with Nero, Mick O’Sullivan (Dublin) with Max, Kealan McMoreland (Meath) with Bowie and Mark Condon (Tipperary) with Scooby.
Nero and Max are human remains detection dogs, while Bowie and Scooby are used in searches for live people. Civil Defence K9 teams are regularly involved in missing person searches throughout Ireland.
