Search Operation, Ferrycarrig, Co Wexford

Wexford Civil Defence was activated on Tuesday 26th February to assist in the search for a missing person in the Ferrycarrig area of Co Wexford. 13 members of the unit conducted a land search and mobilised the Drone Unit.
River Searches were undertaken on Wednesday 27th February, Thursday 28th February, Saturday 2nd March and Sunday 3rd March (until the weather deteriorated forcing the search to be abandoned). There were a total of 26 volunteers activated during the course of the 4-day river searches.
If the search continues, Wexford Civil Defence plan to deploy the drone to conduct further searches of the Ferrycarrig area during the coming week.
