Service Training Day, Donegal Civil Defence 8th April

Donegal Civil Defence held a service training day on Saturday 8th April, with the volunteer’s skills in the treatment of casualties, following a road traffic accident, Radio Communications in both Tetra & GPS, Search & Recovery and the setting up of a rest centre for displaced persons, following a flooding incident in the Finn Valley Area all being tested. The exercise centered around Gortletterlagh Waterfall, Drumboe Woods and the Railway Road area of the Twin Towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar. 16 volunteers participated, in what is set to become a quarterly event with the next date set for the 17th June.
