Sligo – Missing Person Search

Sligo Civil Defence was activated by An Garda Síochána on Sunday evening, 31st December to assist with the search for a missing person from Coney Island, Strandhill who was reported missing on 29th December.
12 volunteer members together with large numbers of the public, co-ordinated by the Gardaí have since been carrying out a shore- line search stretching from Streedagh Beach in North Sligo through to Aughris Head in West Sligo on a daily basis. Also assisting are the Coast Guard Helicopter and the RNLI, without success, to date.
The search continues.
