Sligo Search, Enniscrone

Sligo Civil Defence received a request from An Garda Síochána on 1st August to assist with a search for a missing person, from Dromore West. The search, which is in its tenth day has been centred in the environs of Enniscroneone. The Boyne Valley and Granieuaile diving clubs from Mayo together with the Garda Water Unit have been in attendance. Mayo and Sligo Civil Defence Boats have been on the water each day. Civil Defence volunteers have carried out daily shore searches together with many of the missing persons work colleagues who have travelled from Longford and Fermanagh to assist. Drones by Donegal Civil Defence was utilised.

The body was located in Tullaghan Co Leitrim on 12th day of search.  RIP.
