Tipperary Search, Borrisokane

Tipperary Civil Defence was activated by Gardaí in Nenagh at approximately 1.30am on Thursday morning, 10th August to assist with the search for a missing person in the Borrisokane area. Civil Defence was joined by Killaloe Coast Guard and following a number of hours searching the missing person was located and treated on site by Civil Defence and Coast Guard personnel while the National Ambulance Service was on route. The individual was transported to Hospital by the Ambulance Service.
The operation was a great example of efficient multi agency cooperation.
