UPDATE 09/02/2012: Cork West Civil Defence – Search Operation, Glandore, January/February2012

The body of Michael Hayes, captain of the stricken Tit Bonhomme trawler was recovered yesterday from the water close to the harbour on the Glandore village side of Glandore Bay.
Cork West Civil Defence Volunteer member, George Vladisavljevic spotted the body from a cliff top vantage point above Prison Cove. Civil Defence Officer, Niall Twomey was notified of the discovery and immediately activated a rib boat which recovered the body at approximately 12.45 pm.
Low water searches for the remaining missing body with reduced numbers will continue daily until Friday 10th February.
