Water Shortages in Meath

Meath Civil Defence has been deployed since Monday 24th July , tasked with replenishing water tanks at three Nursing Homes and distributing bottled water to homes of vulnerable persons. A total of 17 volunteer members have been active to date, covering duties from 8am to 10 pm daily. A Bulk Water tanker, made available by Dublin civil Defence and a Meath Civil Defence Fire Appliance have been utilized to replenish water tanks.
Resources remain available, as required by the Local Authority and additional roles and resources will be made available, as and when requested.
