Waterford – Search for Missing Man along South East Coastline

Waterford County Civil Defence assisted with an ongoing search for a missing person over the weekend of 18-19 July. The missing 41 year old, who has been missing from his home in Waterford city for almost a fortnight, was last seen in Tramore Co. Waterford last week.  The search operation which is being co-ordinated by Gardai and the Coastguard is being focused along the Waterford coastline, from the Metal Man to Brownstown Head area of Tramore bay.  Following an appeal to the public for assistance to help in the search, large groups of Community Volunteers turned up to help over the weekend.   Waterford County Civil Defence was available to provide Transport, First Aid and Logistical support for the search.

At the debrief both The Gardaí and The Coast Guard expressed their thanks to all the Civil Defence members who made themselves available to assist in the ongoing search.
