Westmeath Civil Defence Activitites

Westmeath Civil Defence carried out numerous activities over the last couple of months, below is a brief synopses and photos of some of their duties:

• Mullingar Half Marathon on Saturday 25th September
• Westmeath Schools Cross Country Event held at Belvedere House and Gardens on Wednesday 29th September
• IBTS Donor Clinic Assistance in Athlone on 9th, 10th & 11th November
• Provided ambulance and medical cover at Marathon Mind held on Saturday 13th November in Mullingar and Environs, organised by Niall Breslin aka Bressie and team.  The day was also used for their trainee EMT’s
• Remembrance Sunday Ceremony held in All Saint’s Church on Sunday 14th November.  Brian Gillen CDO had the honour of parading and presenting the War Flag to Canon Alastair Graham.  Brian also took the opportunity to present Commander Liam Bardon with his 20 year service medal.
• World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims on Sunday 21st November
